About the Design
Inspired by Aaliyah’s performance in the loose adaptation of Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice, Queen of the Damned was painted traditionally in watercolour and ink over a tea wash. It depicts Akasha herself surrounded by Egyptian lilies with a vintage ribbon banner with her name on it. The blood of her helpless prey drips from her lips.
