Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again
Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again
About the Design
Inspired by the Gaston Leroux’s novel and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical, The Phantom of the Opera, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again was painted in watercolour and ink over a tea wash. It depicts the character of Christine Daaé in a cemetery mourning the death of her father, as the Phantom’s shadow plays the violin over her father’s grave. The vintage ribbon banners read: Gustav Daaé, 1816-1861. Wishing you were somehow here again.
